Mental Health Education for First Responders

Last year HCFS took a bold step to bring a nationally known speaker,

author, comedian Marine, Fire Fighter, and Police Officer, Travis Howze

to Boerne.  Travis shared his experience on how Post Traumatic Stress

has impacted his and his family’s life. This has started the movement for

our first responders and their family’s to be moreintentional about

how we are processing and responding to the trauma that

our first responders face.

Crisis Counseling

HCFS is offering 8-12 counseling sessions with an LMSW under

Clinical Supervision for free. This opportunity for crisis counseling is

available for all ages and focuses on a client centered approach

utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and a Trauma

Informed Care approach.
