Boerne CROP Hunger Walk is November 18

Boerne joins communities across the country in helping to end hunger one step at a time, both around the corner and around the globe. The Boerne Crop Hunger Walk supports the efforts of Hill Country Family Services to eradicate hunger in our community and the international relief and development work of Church World Service.

All Boerne residents are invited to create a team or join one, and gather on Saturday, November 18 at 9 am in the Family Life Center of St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Bandera Road. Attendees will enjoy pre-walk activities, refreshments, prize drawings, and learn about local programs that are combating food insecurity right here in Boerne. Then the one-mile walk from Bandera Road to Main Street to River Road and back will kick off at 9:30 am.

CROP Hunger Walks represent the heart and “sole” of a community. The Boerne event will bring together all residents – young and old, all faiths and walks of life – for the common goal of ending hunger one step at a time!

The 2023 local benefitting agencies are Hill Country Family Services and Church World Service.

Last year, Boerne walkers raised more than $3,600 with 25% of that going to Hill Country Family Services. Organizers hope more participants will make an even greater impact this year.

St. Mark Presbyterian Outreach Ministry organizes this walk in partnership with Hill Country Family Services.

CROP Hunger Walks help children and families worldwide – and right here in Boerne – to have food for today while building for a better tomorrow. Local efforts are making a huge difference. Be part of it!
