Celebrating the Kendall County Faith Community!
A donation challenge from Spring Creek UMC to the Kendall County faith community was a monumental success!
Unity Church of Boerne was the first church to respond to the challenge with a $5,000 donation.
Local churches collectively donated $59,235 to help keep families from eviction and foreclosure due to financial crises caused by COVID-19.
The Impact: 60 Kendall County Families will stay in their homes with financial assistance.
Mega Food Distributions
HCFS and the San Antonio Food Bank have hosted three “Mega” Food Distributions in Kendall County.
500 families received fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy and shelf stable basics. Dozens of volunteers helped distribute food for their neighbors in need.
The Impact: 500 families received healthy food to feed their families
Don’t forget to ask for help when help is only a phone call away.

Summer/Children/Toiletries
We are distributing 1,600 toiletry kits to Kendall County children in 2020. Teaching children to keep their body clean is equally important as eating healthful snacks and meals. To distribute the toiletry bags, we’ve partnered with Blessings in a Backpack, Boerne Community Coalition, Boerne YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boerne and Comfort, Roy Maas Youth Alternatives and Meals on Wheels (because we decided that our seniors need our help, too!). Impact: 1,600 local children (and 250 seniors) will have increased self esteem and increase personal use of basic toiletries
The Rotary Clubs of Fair Oaks and Boerne Sunrise collectively selected HCFS as the recipient of a $3,000 Rotary International grant to help support our efforts during COVID-19. We’re deeply honored to be working shoulder to shoulder with our local Rotary Clubs.
